1. In some Pseudococcidae, well developed sclerites extending completely around each side, each bearing a row of 7 simple eyes near anterior margin, plus a single lateral ocellus on each side behind the mid-lateral member of the anterior row.
2. An annular sclerite surrounding the compound eyes.
